Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Promotes Handwashing for a Healthy Campus
Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia (UTI) has launched a handwashing awareness campaign as part of its efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle on campus. This initiative aims to encourage the entire academic community to understand the importance of clean hands as a simple yet effective way to prevent the spread of diseases. The campaign includes the installation of handwashing facilities in strategic locations across the campus. In addition, live demonstrations of proper handwashing techniques, following World Health Organization (WHO) standards, were conducted. The activity encourages students, lecturers, and staff to cultivate a culture of cleanliness and health for a safer and more comfortable learning environment. Through this campaign, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia seeks to instill the awareness that maintaining hand hygiene is the first step in protecting one’s own health and that of others. By practicing handwashing before and after activities, the risk of disease transmission can be significantly reduced. The campaign also serves as a direct educational platform for students about the importance of disease prevention through simple habits. Students are encouraged to understand that small actions, like washing hands, have a major impact on the overall health of the campus environment. With the spirit of “Health Starts with Clean Hands,” Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia urges the entire academic community to make handwashing a daily habit. This initiative represents a concrete step toward a healthier, more productive, and comfortable campus for everyone.
